Cross country

On Tuesday 12th of may from 11:00-12:00 we had year 4,5,6,7,8 cross country were we run around the school to try get in to zones I didn’t want to go to zones but I had to do it anyway.

First went the year 4 girls, then year 4 boys, then year 5 girls, then year 5 boys, then finally us the year 6s I was so nervous my heart racing crazy fast and my palms sweating Mr Redmon was going to tell us when to start year five and six’s have to do 2 laps. finally Mr remon says start everyone running in one big herd. I tried to keep up with my friends but its hard because there’s so many people running crazy everywhere once I got to unique(my friend) I run with her we kept stopping every now and then but didn’t do to bad one our first lap.

it was my second lap now I was exhausted and puffed but I kept going anyway. once I had gotten to half way around the bike track part I was even more exhausted then there was a small group of people including Harper cheering me on I didn’t mind all the cheering but at the same time it was slightly annoying and distracting. I was now so close to the finish line and feeling like I’m about to collapse I sprint the last part with everyone cheering me on.

finally I had done it the dreadful day of cross country I was really hot and then someone had a water bottle and asked if I wanted to be sprayed with it I said yes, it was more of a tipping her water bottle on me but I enjoyed it after that I was just hanging around cheering other people I know on.

so at the end the day I guess I enjoyed it. one of the funniest moments was when I was running a student on the side put there hand out for the person in front of me to high five them so after then I put my hand out for a high five but I didn’t get one.                                                            have you ever done cross country?

My awesome time at Camp

Looking back on camp, the thing that sticks out the most is mountain boarding because it was one of the most fun activities.

At first, I felt both excited and nervous because I had never done anything like it. But then, I tried it and got better at it as I went and made it up to high school level

I surprised myself by going on the monorail because I wasn’t going to do it but then i watched the others and then i got brave enough to do it

Camp wasn’t all about challenges, though. One of the funniest moments was when Lou was snoring.

Overall, camp helped me learn that working in groups and teams can be easier sometimes if you use good communication.

I’m really glad I had the chance to do archery tag and make new memories with my classmates.

If there’s ever another chance to go to camp, I would definitely go and try all the activities.

have you ever been on camp?

leatherback sea turtles

Leather back sea turtle

Leather back sea turtles are amazing turtles that are super big and have lots of interesting facts. They are brave corsages and crazy animals.

appearance

Leatherback sea turtles have a mix of white black and brown on them, and have four flippers. Leatherback sea turtles have a surprisingly small head for their body. Leatherback sea turtles are the largest living turtles and among the largest reptiles. Adults can reach up to lengths of 2.4 meters (about 2.4384 meters).

habitat

They spend most of their lives at sea, specifically around the Pacific region and migrate to the tropical waters of the Indonesian seas. The South China Sea, Malaysia, the Philippines, and throughout the temperate waters of the North Pacific, but females come ashore to nest on sandy beaches in nesting season.Leatherback sea turtles inhabit temperate and tropical oceans worldwide.

Diet

Their predators are large sharks (tiger sharks, great whites) and killer whales. Their prey are gelatinous zooplankton, primarily jellyfish, salps, and siphonophores. And on a regular basis they like to eat jellyfish(including sea nettles and moon jellies). They may also eat squid, salps, and fish

This is why I choose to learn about leatherback sea turtles. Did

You know that Leatherback sea turtles primarily consume soft-bodied marine organisms. They have a distinctive carapace with seven ridges along its length and a layer of fat for insulation.
